Kupe and Cook are two important explorers in New Zealand history.
Cook arrived to New Zealand in the 1769's. Cook wanted to find New Zealand in order to map New Zealand for the world. Cook followed the birds witch lead him to New Zealand.
Kupe found New Zealand in the 1100's. Kupe arrived to New Zealand to start a new life and a new village. Kupe followed an enormous octopus witch helped him find New Zealand.
Kupe is important because he was the first documented person in New Zealand.

Simple sentences
This week for writing we learnt what a simple sentence was.
First we watched a video witch explained what a simple sentence is. Next our group had to reorder mixed up the sentences. Then we had to write five of our own simple sentences.
I created a mixed up simple sentence slide for others to use. I'm looking foreword to the others using my simple sentence.
